Sikelia Service, together another Sicilian company, has won the call for tenders issued by the ARS – Sicilian Regional Assembly, for the dimensional survey of its libraries.
A patrimony consisting of over 100,000 books, periodicals and newspapers dating from 1802 to date, the libraries will undergo a verification of the preservation status, sanitisation procedures and a check of the bibliographical information. All items will also be specifically catalogued and measured, in preparation to the definitive transfer to the renovated ARS library.
This is the first library management project for Sikelia Service, which is successfully translating its years long experience in archiving and document conservation into this field.
